Illusions

By definition, an illusion is said to be a distortion of the senses, how our brain takes the data around us and creates a different story than what is really there. It’s so easy to fall prey to such a game, thinking up stories about what could be, instead of what really is. Perhaps at first, it might seem logical, you might even think there’s really no other alternative to reality than the one suggested by your brain, and it all seems to indicate that you are indeed right. Yet in what seems to be a sudden move, everything changes. The signs were always there, but you refused to see them.

The illusion was far better than the reality, perhaps you thought that the facts were illusions themselves instead of it being the other way around. Unlike dreams, which occur involuntarily while we sleep, illusions are how we choose to process the information that surrounds us, making it of great importance that we remain able to process data properly. As children, fairy tales read, made us believe that the happily ever would happen by fate. That no matter the disappointments or heartaches, we would get there. However, we know better, nothing magical ever happens without putting in some effort and taking some risks.
